IS YOUR MIND SET ON HEALTH?
Dear
Friends…that’s what I feel like all of you are. Many of you have
been reading my articles for a long time and many of you are just getting to know me.
Although some of you may not always agree with me there has to be no doubt of how much I care about your health and
fitness and that care comes directly from my heart. Basically, I have an undying
passion for helping people realize how important their health is. As I write this article I am a little worried if your mind
is really focused on your health for the right reasons.
As
you know or maybe you don’t know, I am a Master Fitness Specialist certified through the Cooper Institute in Dallas Texas. Really where I get my experience, though, comes from working with all
sorts of people from all walks of life and situations. What I do is try to educate
and motivate people to make their health a priority, above almost all else. This person’s life will be forever changed
for the better, I know, when I accomplish this. So, I work with clients, I write
articles for numerous publications in Texas, and I do seminars, usually for no compensation. I spend much more then I ever receive in pay, doing
what I do. Even the radio show I did this summer, “Health and Fitness Matters!”,
I did without any sponsors. “WHY?” you might be asking. Because getting
the word out and helping people realize good health matters so much to me. Why then, does your health not matter to you? Why,
does your health only matter to you after you lose it or when your body starts to give out?
Why do you call someone like me only when you get too fat, not because it has really anything to do with how you feel,
only with how you look? Most of the people who call me these days who really
call me for the right reasons happen to be our older generation, but by then it is so much harder to help them because now
they have so many irreversible health concerns. This is the first time in my career I have had so many clients under the age
of 12 with so many health concerns that are usually only seen in people 3 times their age.
What, is going to change all this backwardness in the way most people think about their health? May be if I told you from my research and my calculations even
though the life expectancy of men and women has been increasing, the quality of life is rapidly decreasing. So even though you may live to 90, the way it’s going, you will spend the last 25 years in a nursing
home being “kept” alive by modern technology. Think about that. Want to change the course of history and stop that chain of unhealthy events for not
only you but your children and their children? Stop making excuses about why you can’t make your health your priority.
Time is steadily ticking along, and we are already into a new year, set your mind RIGHT NOW, without another second going
by, on your health… because trust me, the snooze button already went off
a long time ago.
